Do I need an accountant if I use Kamut?

Accepted Answer

Kamut helps you create and manage invoices, but it doesn't replace an accountant. You still need an accountant for your annual tax report. Kamut handles the daily invoicing so your accountant has less work to do.

Can I issue invoices in Arabic or English?

The app interface works in your language (Arabic, Hebrew, English, or Russian). However, the PDF invoice itself is always in Hebrew — this is required by Israeli tax law.

What's the difference between Osek Patur and Osek Murshe?

Osek Patur is an exempt dealer — you don't charge VAT, but your annual income is capped at 122,833 ILS (2026). Osek Murshe is a licensed dealer — you charge 18% VAT with no income cap. Kamut supports both and automatically enforces the right rules.

What is an allocation number?

Since January 2026, invoices over 10,000 ILS (before VAT) require an allocation number from the Israel Tax Authority. From June 2026, this threshold drops to 5,000 ILS. Kamut warns you when an invoice requires an allocation number.

What is a computerized document label?

Accepted Answer

It means 'computerized document' — a label required by Israeli law on all software-generated invoices and receipts. Kamut adds this label automatically to every PDF.

Can I cancel an invoice?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Israeli law doesn't allow deleting or editing issued invoices. Instead, Kamut creates a credit note that reverses the original invoice. Just click Cancel on any sent invoice.

What happens if I forget to charge VAT?

Accepted Answer

If you're an Osek Murshe and you don't charge VAT, you'll owe the VAT amount out of pocket to the tax authority. Kamut prevents this by automatically calculating VAT based on your business type.

Is my data safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your data is stored in a secure cloud database with encryption. Only you can access your invoices and client information.

Can other people see my invoices?

Accepted Answer

No. Your invoices are private. The only exception is the public invoice link — when you share an invoice via WhatsApp or email, the recipient can view that specific invoice using a unique, time-limited link.
